Job Description


We are in need of motivated and energetic person who is looking for the challenge of advancing CORT’s learning experiences!

Use your knowledge of tested instructional design theories, practice and methods to create a variety of learning solutions and deliverables to support CORT’s strategic business initiatives and provide effective learning opportunities that enhance productivity, revenue and profitability.


  • Collaborate with team members and subject matter experts to create storyboards, course outlines, etc. to develop accurate, relevant content
  • Interview subject matter experts or conduct other research to develop instructional content
  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer
  • Prioritize work projects and be efficient in organizing and managing concurrent, multiple projects
  • Make recommendations regarding course design, technology and instruction delivery options
  • Design performance-based, measurable assessment items which directly align to the learning objectives.


  • Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology
  • BS or MA degree in instructional design, educational technology or similar
  • Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
  • Lesson and curriculum planning skills
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
  • Visual design skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and ability to storyboard
  • Self-Starter and Able to Work Independently
  • Solid knowledge of course development software (Adobe Captivate, Storyline, etc.) and at least one Learning Management System
  • Basic HTML, CSS, HTML5 and JavaScript programming knowledge
  • Ability to receive and incorporate feedback into course material
  • Design, create and maintain job aids, documentation and training materials
  • Excellent computer skills including experience with computer-based training software and current e-learning tools
  • High attention to detail and commitment to a quality product
