The Regional Sales Executive will call on representatives of Public and Private Agencies, Associations, and Charitable Organizations to sell quality furniture at deeply discounted prices. Many organizations in this space provide housing for individuals who need help in finding shelter as a starting point for their journey to self-sufficiency. CORT, the leading service provider in the world for furniture rental services has an inventory of leased furniture that is available for sale. This role requires someone who is willing to partner with these organizations while selling the services we provide.


  • Generate sales in order to meet and exceed budgeted retail revenue goals as assigned by the National Manager to assist the company in achieving revenue growth goals.
  • Generate new business opportunities through pro-active sales efforts to include research, telephone prospecting, cold calling and appointments with clients.
  • Research local markets to identify trigger events for new potential customers; respond with initiative in making contact with new potential clients.
  • Support our customers by working with our internal resources and our customers to find solutions to issues as they occur.
  • Regularly meet and maintain communication with local Business Managers to inform them of potential opportunities and operational needs.
  • Travel as needed and as required to specified markets and conferences.
  • Develop and maintain a sales plan identifying sales actions that will drive revenue achievement; develop key account plans that detail actionable strategies and tactics to develop revenue opportunities with existing or new clients.
  • Demonstrate solid business acumen by gaining appointments with high-level decision-makers; be able to uncover needs and opportunities in conversations to gain their interest in utilizing CORT’s retail solutions.
  • Create persuasive and professional sales presentations that move the sales process forward with targeted clients.
  • The ability to volunteer for local organizations as needed.


  • At least 5+ years of direct sales experience calling on business customers in the non-profit space or outside sales experience coupled with volunteering experience that demonstrates a commitment to helping charitable agencies.
  • 4 year college degree with 6 + years’ work experience, or 10 years related work experience without degree
  • Excellent communication and reasoning skills, computer proficiency and account development and management skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with external and internal customers,
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen;
  • Must have valid state driver’s license and safe driving record;
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Ability to speak, read and write English
