Job Description

CORT Trade Show and Event Furnishings, a Berkshire Hathaway company and the nation’s premier provider of short-term furniture rentals for trade shows and events, seeks a phenomenal Account Executive/Outside Sales to join our team to service the Central Manhattan Region.

This division of CORT specializes in local and national events that span social, corporate and special occasions that have the ability to set trends across the industry’s landscape. 

You have the opportunity to drive engagements like weddings, corporate meetings/conferences and spectacular national events, including professional sports, concerts, movies and the special music industry engagements. 

Responsibilities
  • Establish relationships and expand business with existing accounts within 90 days
  • Identify untapped markets within assigned territory and grow sales
  • Network with event industry professionals, develop leads and opportunities
  • Prioritize territory routing, maximize time, and provide expedient turn-around and follow-up 
  • Manage pipeline through the entire sales process: opportunity, meeting, presentation, sales, & closing business
  • Connect with gatekeepers and key influencers
  • Collaborate with clients to fulfill their artistic vision
  • Lead effective, persuasive, and detailed presentations 
  • Efficiently prioritize multiple accounts
  • Ensure that clients receive 'The Perfect Customer Experience'
  • Must  possess great flexibility and easily adapt to change
  • Self-driven and directed individual who can work in an entrepreneurial environment  
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree or 2-3 years related service/events industry experience without a degree.
  • Ability to speak, read and write English fluently.
  • Ability to quickly connect with others, demonstrate exceptional customer service and presentation skills and to understand client needs and create solutions.
  • Ability to self-direct and work independently.
  • Excellent communication and reasoning skills, computer proficiency, social media experience, and account development and management skills.
  • Able to attend evening professional association meetings.
  • Ability to understand client needs and create solutions.
  • Proven work record of prospecting over the telephone and in person, along with excellent follow-through.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills.
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Must have a valid Florida State Driver license and use personal vehicle for business. A clean MVR for the last three (3) years.

Additional Information

Compensation: We offer a base salary and unlimited commissions along with core company benefits, for a dynamic, outgoing sale professional.  Must be energetic, driven and enjoy networking.  Expectations are a $100,000 plus within 12 to 24 months.
