The Accounting Manager oversees the daily activates of finance and accounting personnel.  This position is responsible for the accuracy of all financial data and participates in month and year-end closures.  This position also generates reports and provides analysis to senior management.

  • Manages approximately five employees in the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Billing and Data Entry.
  • Gathers financial information from various business entities within CORT Tradeshows and assures data accuracy in the accounting systems to prepare various financial statements and reports.
  • Directs the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, and operating expenses, and insurance records.
  • Establishes system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems.
  • Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.
  • Reviews financial statements with management personnel.
  • Ensures accuracy and completion of all billing(s) and establishes customer credit limits.  Additionally, monitors the outstanding receivables and oversees the collection process 
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Four year college degree or university program certificate, or 2-4 years related work experience/training without degree.
  • Certified Public Accountant license desirable.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Have knowledge of PeopleSoft , Adaptive Accounting software; Database software; UltiPro Human Resource systems ( or other HRIS CRM); Internet software; NovaTime Payroll systems; Excel Spreadsheet software and MSWord Word Processing software
  • The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
