Job Description

CORT Business Services is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to administrate contract compliancy with company commercial national accounts and GSA Schedule.  Reporting to the Sr. Vice President of Corporate Sales, the Contracts Manager will instruct sales and sales management in the correct application and usage of legal terms in our contractual documents ensuring compliancy with state, city, local, Federal regulations and company guidelines. 

  • Creation, and/or analysis of contract/subcontract agreements, contract modifications, non-disclosure agreements, teaming or partnership agreements, customer purchase orders, and all day-to-day phases of contract administration from receipt of the request for proposal through contract closeout. Ensure all in compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Analyze potential risks involved with specific contract terms. Create language standards for acceptable contract terms.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual agreements. Stay up to date with legislative changes and collaborate with legal as appropriate on contractual agreements or disclosure requirements.
  • Provide contract administration guidance, working with leadership, internal and external customers to meet shifting requirements and ensure external customer satisfaction.
  • Must have the ability to make sound business judgments, handle multiple contractual activities with a short turn-around time, and work independently as well as part of a Team.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts in support of a standalone contract and/or a subsystem or portion of a major contract.
  • Maintain organized system of physical and digital records.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with various forms of government and commercial contracts
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the federal acquisition process and government contracting principles
  • Experience using/referencing policies and procedures to interpret, clarify and problem solve
  • Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills that result in clear, concise and positive communications
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and remain flexible in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to work with a diverse team and a variety of project management team members
