CORT Furniture Rental has an opportunity for an enthusiastic, people-oriented professional to join our sales team. In this role you will evaluate needs in order to advise customers on the benefits of previously rented furniture in order to maximize revenue opportunities.

We are seeking an individual with the following qualities:

  • Enthusiasm and customer driven passion
  • Self-motivated and computer literate
  • Must have an outgoing personality and enjoy working with the public
  • Willingness to learn and grow both professionally and personally
  • Furniture sales experience a plus
  • Floor presentation and maintenance- includes moving furniture, merchandising, accessorizing; this includes loading furniture into customers cars, re-stocking floor and building furniture
  • Developing a base of customers through in store contacts and outside prospecting
  • Residential and office furniture sales. Professional selling and closing skills
  • Handling walk-in, telephone and internet inquiries
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Handling walk-in, telephonic and internet inquiries
  • Selling and closing territory specific deals
  • Inputting leases and completing inventory support tasks
  • Obtaining credit information required to facilitate approvals for customers
  • Day-to-day upkeep of the showroom
  • Detailed quote preparation and support for outside sales force
  • High school diploma/equivalent or  1 year of work experience with a diploma
  • Ability to work 40 hours/week with varied hours/days to provide support for showroom, sales events, meetings, networking functions, etc.;
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background check, drug screen and human performance evaluation
  • 2 years previous outside or inside “Sales Experience”. 
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Flexible hours/must be available to work weekends
